Although silicone does not absorb water, humid environments can accelerate dust adhesion or mold growth, affecting its appearance and cleanliness. It is advised to use sealed packaging, such as cardboard boxes or plastic wrap, and store in areas with a relative humidity not exceeding 60%.
Extruded silicone hose is not resistant to oils or strong acids and alkalis. Contact with engine oil, lubricants, cleaning agents, or corrosive liquids during storage can cause swelling, softening, or surface degradation, reducing sealing performance and mechanical strength.
